Reading is at the heart of what we do.
At Coop Academy Brownhill we know the importance of books and reading which is why we focus our entire curriculum around books. Each class has a dedicated book or novel which they read each half term and which links to other areas of the curriculum learning.
Talking to children about reading and sharing books is an important part of developing their love of reading and we aim to ensure that by the time our pupils leave for high school they will have read a varied and extensive number of books.
Below is a list of the books that children in our school are currently reading with their class. It would be great if you ask your child about their novel/book and help us to make reading important for all our pupils. We have also included a list of excellent website for those parents who wish to help the development of reading at home.
